A JV coal
mining in Vietnam which is part of a large Indonesian group of companies, is
currently seeking for:
Engineering
Manager/Department Head
based in North Vietnam
Reports
to the GM Operations
JOB DESCRIPTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Purpose
-
To ensure all mining activities obey to
follow government regulation and within mining license boundary.
-
To organize and coordinate all tasks
related to the engineering and environmental activities, such as Mine Planning,
Mine Rehabilitation activities and Reporting. Manage and coach all subordinates
to get maximum performance and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly
mine planning and reports
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Provide yearly budget based on :
o
Yearly mine planning and yearly
marketing plan.
-
Provide yearly planning based on :
o
Technical design
o
Within boundary mining license
o
Marketing plan
-
To monitor and evaluate mining
activities especially :
o
Geological model based on actual
condition.
o
Production data
o
CPP product
-
Coordinate with external parties
regarding mining plan and how to achieve the target
-
Ensuring improvement of production yield
and implementing troubleshooting for all problems found in the field.

Ensure
that safety heard and environment company policy are implemented within his
area of responsibility.
-
To
conduct safety inspection to ensure that all hazardous conditions as well as
unsafe actions to be removed immediately.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Tertiary
qualification (S1 degree) in Mining Engineering/Geological Engineering with 8
years extensive experience and proven skills in mine planning, in particular
involving open cut coal mining operations and long term strategic analysis.

Analytical,
Problem Solving, Leadership, Negotiation and Influencing and presentation skills.
-
Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) in English.
-
Knowledge
and exposure to a range of strategic planning techniques and the tools to
translate those ideas into reality.

Strong
people management skill, ideally with training and supervision.
-
Good
grasp of engineering and economic principles.
Efficient, honest, team player, analytical, attention to detail and
quality.
